7/10 coffee 8/10 food 10/10 atmosphere. Will deff come back to try more menu items. Cute coffee place in coolidge corner area.
Some of these bad reviews are intense but I happened to have a really nice time here. I went in just looking for a quick matcha latte and ended up also ordering a chorizo breakfast sandwich because I was hungry. Super tasty and flavorful! No complaints. Seems like a cozy, homey place that people who live around here regularly go to
Food tastes okay here. It’d be great if they have TLC a bit. They could use aiolis of some kind as the sandwiches feel dry and bland. I didn’t like the croissants they have. They could also toast the croissants while making breakfast sandwiches on croissants.
Pretty fun place! It's fairly empty most of the time, so Temptations is a good place to be productive. The environment doesn't have much personality to it - the establishment was fairly empty and decor was very neutral - but it's okay! The service was also pretty good. When I visited, they had local Berklee musicians play in the evening - they were all great! That was a good experience. The location's good and it's fun to support local businesses.
The most important aspect of a cafe to me, though, is the food, and I was really disappointed by what I received, especially for the price. All of the ingredients on my sandwich were low-quality, and the lettuce was dry and stale! There was no sauce or other strong seasoning or flavor to the sandwich. The chocolate chip cookie was also pretty disappointing - it was thin and crispy, but a bit dry and eggy at the same time, and the chocolate used was - frankly - terrible! I had trouble finishing. I would not recommend getting food here. I'd be okay with all of this if the cafe were cheap, but I ended up paying a price I associate with high-end cafes in the Boston area - of which this is not.
Didn't order a drink, though, so I can't speak to that. This place is worth trying out for a beverage if you're in the area! But avoid the food.
Quite a good option in this neighborhood! Espresso was excellent, the sandwiches are great. Note that in spite of Yelp saying free wifi, they have a sign inside that says wifi is turned off on weekends due to demand for seating, but if you have a Comcast account this is no problem as there is a very strong signalf for the Xfinity public wifi hotspot. I recommend!
The place is nice and cozy. People who work there were very pleasant. The only problem that we had was that is the “Falafel salad” which was pretty big salad, were just 3 little pieces of falafel. Which I’m still not sure was planned or a miss-counted, but surely was pretty disappointing. Everything else was great. Also if you’ll be deciding between tuna sandwich or tuna panini, second one is definitely better!
Online I ordered a raspberry mango smoothie and sunrise BLT that included onions and avocado. The order I received had a smoothie that included banana in it and a sandwich without avocado. When they remake my sandwich it included avocado but the onion was left off. I gave up on getting them to make it right. They said they wouldn’t do anything for my smoothie since all their smoothies are made with banana. That I could understand IF their website listed all smoothies included banana. I would have never ordered the smoothie if I knew if included it. Overall I was unhappy with how my food was prepared with leaving off stuff and not ensuring that a clear ingredient list is listed on the website.
Clean and contemporary atmosphere without being hoity toity. Feels natural and laid back with good interior design. Plenty of seating, quick service, nice staff. Iced coffee was good. Would be a nice place to grab coffee with a friend and take a minute to chill.
